The Role

We’re building out our data platform and analytics tracking capabilities, and we’re looking for a multi-faceted Data Engineer with strong tracking implementation experience to join this emerging effort.

As a Data Engineer at GeoGuessr, you won’t just maintain pipelines—you’ll help define how we do analytics and data engineering. You’ll be part of making architectural decisions, establishing best practices, and building key parts of the platform from the ground up. You’ll work closely with engineers and product teams to ensure our event data is reliable, scalable, and trusted.

What you'll do:

• Build out and improve our analytics tracking infrastructure

• Assist product teams in tracking implementation

• Work with developers to ensure analytics events are tracked correctly

• Deploy, develop and maintain ELT pipelines of gaming and business data

What we are hoping you bring:

• Min. 3 years' experience as data engineer or software engineer with heavy data focus

• Python proficiency

• C# or similar application development

• Comfortable working with SQL

• Experience in cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Experience with ELT/ETL pipelines

Extra nice if you bring experience in:

• AWS (Redshift, S3, ECS etc)

• Infrastructure as code

• Dagster or equivalent (Airflow, prefect)

• Game analytics

• dbt

• Saas/subscription business models
