The Role

We are looking for an analytics engineer with expertise in data modeling. As an analytics engineer at GeoGuessr, you'll work in the data team to build and maintain the data and metrics offering, aiding game development and business decisions. You apply data modeling principles and best practices with a focus on providing data as a product. Primary work will be transformation and semantic layer implementation, but you are also comfortable working across the whole data stack when needed.

What you'll do:

• Deploy, develop and maintain ELT pipelines of gaming and business data

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure correct data modeling

• Transform data in dbt and build out our data offering

• Build and maintain the semantic layer

• Collaborate with stakeholders on analytics

What we are hoping you bring:

• Min. 3 years' experience as a data or analytics engineer

• 3 years SQL experience

• Python experience

• Experience deploying and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines

• Expertise in data modeling and working with data as a product or centralized KPI’s

• Stakeholder management experience

Extra nice if you bring experience in:

• dbt

• Dagster or equivalent (Airflow, prefect)

• Game analytics

• SaaS/subscription business models

• Business Intelligence
